2. Device Permissions & How We Use Them
To provide seamless, automated expense tracking, Paisa Track requests specific Android permissions. Each permission is strictly tied to user-facing utility:

3. Information We Collect Directly
We collect only the information necessary to provide you with financial tracking services:
- Account Details: Your mobile phone number (for OTP authentication) or name and email address (if using Google Sign-In).
- Transaction & Budget Logs: Expense amounts, merchant names, categories, transaction dates, and custom budget limits set by you.
- Split Bills: Expense split details and friend labels you create when sharing calculations via WhatsApp.
4. Data Storage & Security
We protect your personal and financial data using industry-leading technical measures:
- Encryption in Transit: All communication between the Paisa Track mobile application and our servers is secured using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3).
- Encrypted Database Storage: All user records are stored in protected, access-controlled databases with strict network isolation.
- In-App 4-Digit Security PIN: An optional 4-digit security PIN lock screen prevents anyone from viewing your financial information if they access your unlocked phone.
- Local Device Sandboxing: Offline cached data is preserved in private, sandboxed local application storage.
5. Third-Party Sharing & Advertisers
We DO NOT sell, rent, or distribute personal or financial information to third parties.
We only use essential infrastructure providers required for app functionality:
- Fast2SMS: SMS gateway used strictly to dispatch login OTPs to your registered phone number.
- Google Sign-In: Secure authentication provider if you opt to sign in with your Google account.
- Cloud Hosting: Secure cloud server instances hosting the backend API.
6. Data Retention & Account Deletion
You maintain full ownership of your data. You may request the export or complete deletion of your account and records at any time:
How to request complete data deletion:
1. Open Paisa Track → Settings → Profile → Delete Account.
2. Or send an email to paisatrack69@gmail.com with the subject Account Deletion Request.
All associated database records, transaction logs, and profile data will be permanently wiped within 48 hours.
7. Children's Privacy
Paisa Track is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 18 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
